Help Wanted
HELP WANTED: Farmsteads of New England is looking for applicants to work at our farm in Hillsboro NH, providing supports to adults with autism in an agriculturally based setting. Individuals receive supports with any interests they may have including yoga, Reiki, art, weaving, music, skiing, snow shoeing, kayaking, healthy eating, daily living skills, vocational training, and many other interests as they develop over time. Currently the following positions are available.
Residential mentors assist individuals with both daily living skills and leisure activities. Many resources are available on site including an art room, weaving room, exercise room, billiards, and 37 acres of farmland, and vehicles are provided by the company for activities off grounds. Residential shifts begin at 2:45pm and run until 11pm 7 days a week, with the additional weekend shifts beginning at 7 am and running until 3pm.
Overnight awake supports begin at 10:45pm and end at 7:15am. This shift consistently includes some house keeping duties, but occasionally if individuals have trouble sleeping during the shift, the staff are available to support them as needed. There is a shift differential paid in appreciation of the inconvenience of a third shift role.
Overnight asleep staff work from 11pm until 7am. The position is intended as extra support in case of an emergency, and on the typical shift it is intended that the staff be able to sleep.
It is anticipated that applicants will be available to work between 3 and 5 shifts, dedicating up to 35 hours per week on average. As long as schedules can be followed consistently, we can be flexible around specific time constraints that often impact employment.
Job requirements include a criminal check free of misdemeanors and above, a driving record in good standing and free of any charges for DWI, great attitude, and an openness that supports others while you learn a great deal about yourself. See your life change and join our community of caring and creative people. Applicants are encouraged to set up an appointment today.
