Each year the Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to members of the graduating class of the Hillsboro-Deering High School. Successful candidates demonstrate a balance between academic achievement, attendance and on-time arrival to school, extra-curricular involvement and community service. The applications are judged on merit, not financial need. Other specific criteria may apply. All information submitted will be held in the strictest confidence.

You must be a member of the Class of 2012 at Hillsboro-Deering High School to apply for this scholarship. Click on the button below to download and print the Common Scholarship Application. Read all instructions carefully. Submit your completed application to the Hillsboro-Deering High School Guidance Office no later than April 13, 2012. Your application will be forwarded to the Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce by the Guidance Office.

The funds awarded may be used for tuition only. The award checks will be made payable directly to the selected educational institution to be credited to the recipient's account. The scholarship will be awarded in two payments: the first check for one-half of the total award amount can be used in the first or second semester. The remainder of the scholarship will be sent to the institution once verification is received from the institution that the student has enrolled for another semester. Certain restrictions may apply.
